bro, i need to go cook lunch liao leh. i want to try bear's tip on how to make chai poh omelette. then later got to cook the otah. for dessert hor, i want to make durian chiffon leh. the mini ones. with ovalette. last time i try without ovalette, hubby said taste different. then lucky friend from m'sia gave me one bottle so i'm going to try today.

It's 8:20am here. Damn internal body clock gets me up at 5:45am even on the weekends *grumble, gripe, complain*. Gone are the days when I could stay up all night and still be perky in the day. Age man, stinks.

i'm still at my first cup. well, actually, i limit myself to one cup a day. but on gatherings, i do take on another.

yeap, i have a potluck to go to, tonight. and hey, guess what? the redness in the eyes are subsiding!!! yippeee.........I CAN WEAR EYE MAKE UP liao. Embarassed okay, wrong reason to be happy about.

Guys, I have a story to tell you today! Razz When it's time for you to choose your wife, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE choose wisely!! Razz

Today, mom and I were super pissed at my brother's wife... cause she was soooooo darn ngeow!! Razz Ended up, poor dad had to wait for us at the restaurant for our lou hei for an hour, all because of her! Mad Mad

You won't believe it... mom thought of getting her the Si Dian Jing (Four Pieces of Gold), some Chinese wedding custom. Actually, the bride's mom is supposed to get it for her, but somehow, the modern version got twisted and my mom's quite da4 fang1 and doesn't mind buying it for her. So, off we went...

She apparently had already shopped around the day before and had written down the model no. of what she wanted from the shop. But today, she was sucked into the hurricane of indecisiveness! Surprised Mad In the end, what mom and I thought would be a half hour to an hour long errand turned out to be a THREE AND A HALF HOUR torture session!!! Shocked Shocked That girl was soooooooo fussy!!! Ngeow ngeow ngeow!!! Ngeower than cats! Razz We even went to SIX jewellery shops before she FINALLY decided on which four she wanted!

She also chose white gold pieces WITH DIAMONDS! Surprised I mean, it's just a xing1 yi4! No need to go to all that extravagance!! Mad Mad

Mom didn't have lunch and she was so tired and fed-up with how fussy her daughter-in-law was, she complained to me when the two of them were out of earshot! Poor mom and dad... and me! Razz And my poor brother... I'm sure after marriage, 'the best is yet to come'! Razz

I've already advised my mom not to interfere when they have their baby, cause she's going to be ngeow about it and there's going to be a potential for conflicts. Mom said she's going to enjoy her retirement and doesn't wanna be suckered into ngeow stuff! Laughing Razz

I'm gradually waking up, as I'm on my third cup of coffee. Should be bouncing off the walls after the fourth one... Mr. Green

As for weekend plans, I'm currently monitoring the weather as I have a good friend who wants me to take him up for a ride in one of our club's planes.

Then I'm keeping tommorow (Sunday) open to complete that one task that all Americans rightfully fear and loathe with a passion but are compelled by law to do: file tax returns. Crying or Very sad

Any big plans for Sunday on your side?

Before I took on shift work, I'd automatically wake up at about that time too! Razz I used to be a Morning Lark!

But once I started shift work, my entire internal clock got messed up and now, I've become more like a Night Owl! Razz Never knew one could transform this way! Laughing

Hmm... today? Today's ending already! Wink We're already on Sunday!! Wink

Mom and dad asked if I wanted to join them for breakfast and then go distribute the wedding invitation cards with them. I said thanks but no thanks, don't wanna tag along then everyone will start to ask when my big day will come. Razz Then mom said, you'd better don't follow us, you will 'been chow chow'!
