av98m SG If you see my room you will peng sanz. I'm surrounded by books. There are even books on my bed (about 10 next to my pillow, and another 7 or 8 on a corner of my bed)
coffeeortea SG the money you get, straight away save and put in bank, you will definitely find a way to survive. just dont commit crime, thick skinned abit nvm
SydneyLibrarian SG Hmm.. u shld marry a librarian next time Then u will get free books from time to time U'll never be bored!
choco B SG The only way I can save money is if it’s not available to me. It’s gotta be squirreled away fast and secure. Can’t spend what I can’t get my hands on!
coolger03 SG same here... but i'm happy with the CDs i have... there are only some CDs that i regret buying... if not the rest are all my favourites.... i dun regret buying them at all...
Rhonda SG Right now, if you see my house, you will peng sanz! Books ALL OVER! And yes, all over... even in the kitchen. In the midst of taking my own sweet time packing up, so everything's been dragged out.
av98m SG I'm quite happy with my collection too, still its frightening when you add up the $$$ spent.
Rhonda SG Actually, peeps who borrow your stuff, and then have the audacity to circulate it amongst their friends is )(*@)(#&)(!*@#*()@#$!!! Blardy no respect! Sorry for the er... blasphemy... got carried away!
Rhonda SG I'm peachy about my collection too! And yeah, the $$$ invested (not spent, ok... invested! ) is scary though! I'll one day build a dream home with an Entertainment Room where the CD's and DVD's / VCD's are all properly and neatly categorised and displayed and where NONE of them is allowed to be loaned out!
av98m SG I'm already thinking about how I want my hi-fi and home entertainment room to be set up! With cd racks covering the walls!
av98m SG It just occured to me. Just for that attitute alone you'd have hordes of aussie hi-fi nuts asking you to marry them! (most wives and girlfriends frown on this stuff)
Rhonda SG Izzit?? Izzit??? I wanna marry a hi-fi nut!!! I had this huge crush on a guy in my Church group cause he was a huge audiophile! He's an ACS guy and even considered studying Audio Engineering! Man, I had the biggest crush on him! I ended up volunteering for a while at my church's AV team where my job was to lay the cables, set up the mikes, and then, aaaaahhh... sit next to him behind the ... whatchamacallit... big machine thing that controls all the various volumes and all that. This girl I disliked loved to hog the mike when she was on duty for Sunday services, so I used to turn down the volume on her mike!
Rhonda SG You know those revolving racks where you can keep your CD's and that you usually see in stores? I wonder how that concept can be brought into the home entertainment centre! Have a few almost floor-to-ceiling revolving racks built into a panel flush against the wall with nice backlights.
Rhonda SG Oops, we have totally hijacked this thread! Transformed it into a "Ways to Splurge your Money" thread instead!
