Wanda SG Sorry to OT, do u have a cholesterol problem? I'm not trying to be preachy, but just wanna confirm that it's hereditary in some cases. I wonder how to lower it if the cause is hereditary? Meanwhile, I'm waiting for my blood test result.
Rhonda SG It can be a hereditary problem. There was actually an article in The Straits Times about 7-8 years ago that focused on the amusing fact that whilst two people may eat the same serving of der kah (pig trotters), one of them will metabolise the fat from it better than the other. Which means, some folks can eat cholesterol-laden stuff and literally get away with blue murder simply because their body systems are genetically wired to digest and metabolise it more efficiently. So, who says life is fair?!

Rhonda SG Yup! I've tried out a handful of recipes before but that was a few years back when I had someone special to cook for. Ever since, I haven't had the mood, nor do I have the equipment anymore. I gave away almost all the kitchen implements I owned when I moved house from Marsiling back to Holland a few years ago.
elindra SG Sniffing vaporub I thought only old uncles do that I love to eat red meat though I cut down alot. Worst thing is SO loves red meat too. Beef and Lamb *drools*

ShrodingersCat SG nono.. its called 'SHANG BIAO YOU".. from thailand one.. got an old man on the box.... also available in red colour and white colour.... I think the red colour comes from cloves/cinnamon or something.. gives it the nice soothing smell.. Mmmm... Need a hit now...
