Rhonda SG I thought it was US$15K? What made me aghast was the fact that they have cat farms in the US where they raise cats for the purpose of letting them be kidney 'donors'! They're actually raising cats to harvest their organs!! No doubt they make the kidney receipient's family adopt the 'donor' cat as well, but still, that's a pretty awful strategy!
Rhonda SG Yeah, but the vet they intereviewed did say that to remove the healthy cat's kidney would shorten its natural lifespan somewhat.

Kan_i SG is this a joke? Ok as you will tell from my comments i am about to make i am no animal lover.... WTF are people thinking 15-25K for transplant for an animal? Thats absurd and quite frankly obscene. Donate that money to 3rd world country or even your local "homeless" or other shleters. And get a new CAT!!! And no i do not understand that you can have such a connection with an animal. Some people do not even treat their kids with such love. Every time i hear such "stupity" on the news about people spending so much on a pet. I wonder if these people are just that generous and donate liberally to their local charities. There are people who are starving, abused, and have mental illness that such money can be used towards.
