Kan_i SG Actually that would be kind of you. I checkout out the Cinemas here and we will be getting Geisha release 19/1/06 - not my cup of tea, unless recommended otherwise AoenFlux will not be release till 23/2/06 I remember reading you have seen these 2 films already? I cant believe we are so behind on movies.
Rhonda SG Here's a photo of my favourite martial arts movie female character, played by Chingmy Yau: She looks so cute and endearing in the movie, The Kung Fu Cult Master, with Jet Li! I just love her character in the movie! BTW, The Kung Fu Cult Master is better known in this region as ''Yi Tian Tu Long Ji''.
Rhonda SG Omigosh! Australia is THAT backward in terms of movie screenings?!! Oh heeeeeelp!! And I'm moving there next year too!! I think I have to find contacts here who are willing to help me purchase and mail the DVD's for a fee.
av98m SG Yah yah! It went down the toilet after the first 2 seasons. I was also getting increasingly irritated by Calista Flockheart's character. Whine whine whine whine whine! I really liked John Cage and Richard Fish though. Yes, I know about the weight issues, and it sured showed during some of the episodes. Did you know there was one episode she was dating an older guy and wanted to dump him after she met this very good looking young man (played by Michael Vartan). Turns out the young man is the older guy's son! Boy was it awkward when they found out and dumped her together!
Rhonda SG I read in a gossip mag re. the weight loss issues. Can you imagine your boss telling you to lose weight and keep skinny or else you're going to be fired?! No wonder all the ladies in that show felt tremendous pressure! Oh, that show is just so full of scandals! But scandals are fun, right?
av98m SG I read about the weight loss part in an interview with the actress that played Billy's wife , Geogia. Part of the reason she said she left the show was the pressure of having to stay slim. If my workplace has this policy, I can tell you 75% of us will be fired liao.
Kan_i SG hahaah maybe i need to be included in that mailing list When and where are you planning to move down here?
elindra SG Rhonda I'll be your CD pirate My dad's friend came over to SG and they bought HUNDREDS of dollars worth of VCDS back to Australia Kan_i, I can help if you need DvDs as long as it is Code 9 over in Oz. AeonFlux....erhmmm watch it if you want eye candy. It reminds me of some supermodel catwalk instead of an action flick
Rhonda SG My friend, SydneyLibrarian, is also a Sydney sider with her husband! They're in BKK now and will be back in SG this Saturday! I'll ask her to come online and maybe, the two of you can get to know each other and even meet up over there!
Rhonda SG Not pirate leh... I wanna buy the originals of Asian movies so have to bai twor you! Poh Kim and the other one, what's their name? ... they have very good prices for Asian movies DVD's and VCD's. I'll pay you via TT or some other form of bank transfer! You may charge extra for postage and 'admin fee'! I think, the lure of good shopping here might just motivate me to fly back home pretty frequently! When I'm back, I'll probably end up sending boxes of stuff back to Melbourne!
