After listening to the CD a few times, I think that whilst
Loxian is plain gibberish, it's appropriate in giving an ethereal,
out-of-this-world feel to the songs. It does give an 'elfish' feel
to it, that LOTR magical feel, and I think that's why they took
creative liberty with using Loxian on a few of the songs in her new
album.
Afterall, when we listen to Opera or J-pop, K-pop, or even the
recent Numa-Numa song that's not in English / Mandarin, don't the
lyrics also appear gibberish to us?
But language has never stopped anyone from appreciating a piece of
music, and conveyance of mood and ambience need not hinge on
language and understanding alone - music permeates straight to the
soul and speaks the language of the heart and soul.
So, Loxian or no Loxian, I applaud their creative direction in this
album.
