I was reading about the courses on offer at the various poly's
here, discussed by a few of you yesterday.
IMO, the Early Childhood course should be offered to the general
public so that those who are thinking of becoming parents should
attend a condensed version of it first. Not that graduating from
the course would guarantee that one would be a good parent but at
least, one would be armed with really valuable information about
parenting, taking care of children, nurturing them, cooking right
for them, etc. 
And oh, they ought to hold a condensed version in Mandarin. More
and more, I feel that although English is our first language, the
standard just ain't there - cmi!
