BaByBoY SG so it`s juz for the computer nia?? recently took a few macros at botanic gardens seems like i`ve some prob w the focusing was taking rain drops on leaves after a shower cant seem to focus lehz anyone knows how to help?
BaByBoY SG anyway back to my 1st qn ah is matt paper better for foto prining or glossy ah??? cuz i went to take a look at the papers then i saw got 3 types silky glossy and matt wat do they mean ah?
kopiosatu SG i'm not joho, so my explanation doesn't involve buckets, football or rain. All i can say is, either you're too near... or too far when focusing. what is the correct focal distance? i'm waiting for the buckballrainer to explain
kopiosatu SG what i did with my camera last time was, i would keep half pressing and adjusting my focal distance until i got a clear focus.
BaByBoY SG tried tat.. but mine`s auto focus instead of focusing on the droplets it focused on the leaves qi shi ren
the Bear SG going to turn green already and BBB, try focussing on the subject first by pushing the shutter button halfway, the move away and then click
Gedanken SG Jumped in on this thread a little late. I've got the PowerShot S1IS, and apart from the lack of macro settings, I've been pretty happy with it. At this stage there's no point in me going from the S1 to S2 - if and when I choose to upgrade, it'll be the EOS350, or whatever model happens to succeed it it at the time.
LazerLordz SG Now that's a good prosumer that is capable for taking events, just add an external flash and turn on the IS
Rhonda SG You were there too?!! I told my friend I had a feeling that someone I knew was around, so I kept looking around but bo leh! I was at the Esplanade really late last night. The highlight of the evening was drinks at the kewl New Asia Pub with a bunch of friends! Here's my celebration drink for my Freedom Day!!
Rhonda SG Thanks! And I haven't even learnt to harness the full capabilities of the A520 yet! Ratty, you won't regret getting this digicam because it has enough functions for an amateur like me. Here'a yet another water pic to show you what the A520 can do and to improve the feng shui here!
Rhonda SG What a pretty jewel! Look at the Merlion... yowzers blazes... see, I told ya it was really an alien in disguise!! And this, taken tonight, from a high-rise HDB flat. I felt absolutely giddy leaning out, trying to capture good shots! See that streak of bright light near the skyscrapers? The aliens have landed!!! Actually, that's just the spotlight that they've been playing with over at the Padang since last week or so. My guess is they're preparing for National Day. And here's a late night supper one night after work, when we headed straight down to the Makansutra Gluttons' Bay @ the Esplanade for some... Ngoh Hiang Ji!
littlestream SG wah pian, Rhonda........you made me drool ley........ have not eaten this one call what? errr....."ngor hiang tzi". oh, i really missed it. I like the first pix best. At first, it sort of looked to me like foams from alien, then I look again and then "wah....yah man.......it's water". Nice shot!!!
Rhonda SG Thanks! littlestream, can you tell that I'm having so much fun with my new digicam-baby? I bring my digicam with me everyday when I step out of the house now. I'm ever ready for photo opportunities! I'm thinking of taking photos of food that I eat at Gluttons Bay. I think it would be interesting.
