Kind of. 
The Ubud one was a
homestay which is common.
The most amazing thing was seeing Malay-looking ppl living together
with dogs, handling dogs, stroking dogs which they keep as pets.
We even saw one
scooter ferrying 4 passengers - the chief rider man, a woman and
child riding pillon behind, and their furry dog (which stood in
front of the driver).
ps: 85% of Balinese are Hindus; and yes, they eat roast suckling
pig.
