Conspiracy between Love That Binds & ROM?

last SG · 2005-10-18T17:36:10+00:00

Ok this is a bit late but if you have to have your soleminization outside you can request them to do it at your location and all you need to do is give them...

shinta SG

a fren told me he couldn get a slot when he logged in at 12 midnight sharp 3 mths before his desired date to sign the stupid paper.

The ROM people said slots are taken up very quickly. but at 12 midnight? all slots?

But when he approached the agency Love That Binds, and they got him the date n time.

@ an extra $160. $26 still has to be made to ROM tho.. So in total he paid $186.

shinta SG

I wonder what nellie will say about this...

this is stupid.

If I knew this a few months ago, I'd have say no to marriage in sg.

the Bear SG

ask someone "innocently" who is part of the press Twisted Evil

shinta SG

is conspiracy too strong a word?

let's vote n make this come up under featured =X

choco B SG

It’s not conspiracy it’s called synergy.

shinta SG

should i repost again n bear delete this?

the Bear SG

nah.. it's a conspiracy..

or more, it's what they call "guan xi"..

but coming from a place like ROM, it stinks and it's shady enough to be called a conspiracy Wink

shinta SG

i haven tell nellie...

i got a feeling he'd say go for the agency.. n save ourselves the agony of booking until so chee cham

choco B SG

Was his desired date a popular date?

Normal dates are easy to get, I wouldn't worry too much if you want just a normal date.

shinta SG

well the date seems normal enuff...

Laughing

for my fren n myself

choco B SG

Well then it's bull.
Just another way to generate revenue

At the price he's paying just for the "venue", he'd better hear the birds sing and bells ring when they are pronounced man and wife Laughing

shinta SG

what i dun understand is this. why make it so difficult for ppl to book a date and time for rom?

they're complainin about more n more singles in sg... but they're not makin it easier for ppl to get pronounced man n wife.

this bookin system is bull... they just wanna force ppl to book via an agency.

Mad Mad Mad

choco B SG

Maybe your friend can go confront ROM with this.

Wanda SG

Once you’ve submitted the witnesses’ names, try not to change, or else it’s another $15 per change of witness…in this day of technological advances!

SydneyLibrarian SG

I remember logging in at the stroke of midnight, and being able to pick and choose from the many slots available.

Which dates did your fren choose? Perhaps they were a v. popular date / day or s'thing so ROM blocked out alot of the times for some reason or other...

shinta SG

he said there’s an error when he tried to book the date. slots are full or sth…

choco B SG

Jio a JP and solemnise at home.

shinta SG

JP?

whats that?

think there's additional costs =X

choco B SG

JP is Justice of Peace
Cost-wise, if you're doing it out of ROM, it's up to you to budget. Can be as cheap or as expensive as you organise it to be.

shinta SG

what is justice of peace?
