Meia Gisborn SG Those damn al-Qaeda operatives are planting bombs everywhere nowadays, I tellz ya! As for the price of a Glock 17, I am only familiar with how much it costs here in the US: at the retail level, they're usually going for between US$500 and US$550, with two 17-round magazines. They can be mail-ordered for less than that (I've seen them advertised for as low as US$450), but you'll have to go through the hassle of transferring it to a local FFL and paying for the shipping charges and transfer fee imposed by the FFL, so that when everything is said and done, it would end up costing as much as if you had purchased it from a local dealer. How much are they going for in Australia?
Gedanken SG Not sure about the Australian price, but my mate who’s in Singapore’s IPSC is looking at one for $1200. From the prices that you’ve quoted, though, even with all of the transfers and paperwork, $1200 seems a bit of a markup.
the Bear SG long day at work... sometimes, i get pressured from both the subordinates and the management... coz i got a crackpot working for me which i have to attempt to control (he's a jerk and a lunatic..) and the management seems to want to persecute everyone who can be taken advantage of... oh well.. it's a job... and i gotta take the crap with the good right?
Rhonda SG Helloooooo, peeps!! So, we have our StarPuppy back in our midst again! Welcome back, StarPuppy!! Here's a doggy treat for you! *tosses doggy treat to StarPup! Hmm... sure hope littlestream will be back soon! Yo, Ged! Good to see you here again! Bear, sorry to hear that you've had quite a day. Hope you'll be able to sleep well tonight, and well, relax tomorrow, since it's your day off!
littlestream SG But sounds like you are handling it well......workwise as well as on your personal spirit. Is that why you take up bowling? Just kidding.
Meia Gisborn SG Did you tell the crackpot to take his ADHD medication? It requires mental fortitude, but you can attempt to ignore the crap and relish the good. Makes for a more tolerable day overall.
littlestream SG Good evening Rhonda. How? Got dream of Leonard or not? I'm back but going off to the mall to get halloween treats. I went last week but the line was so long, I gave up. So, trying my luck again today.
the Bear SG bowling is fun but the management... uses the staff like pawns in their politics and power plays... forgetting our core duties, our responsibilities and the reason for our being... oh well.. sometimes i wish they'd go somewhere and do their sucking somewhere else and let those people who still feel a sense of responsibility do their work without executive interference.. okay okay.. i'm nuts to love my job
littlestream SG Hey, MG, what's for lunch? Peanut butter sandwich ah? I'm eating my bowl of grapes now. Checking out cafe menu and nothing look appealing.
Rhonda SG Wah... Halloween! The kids must be pretty cute dressed up like monsters and fairies and what-not! Hey, take photos for us! I heard that if kids go trick or treating, and you didn't offer treats, they'd really do mischievour stuff to your property... is that true?
the Bear SG i think the best treatment for the crackpot is a one-second lobotomy with a crowbar come to think of it, it's a great treatment for the management who are all suffering from cramps... it's from their contortionist pose of sticking their heads up their own asses
Meia Gisborn SG Left the bloody sandwich in the fridge again this morning. Looks like I'll be making a trip downtown to get fed. Are you going to the mall over the lunch hour?
Rhonda SG Oooh yess!!! I walked round that place a few days back and it was WHOA... huge! Sadly, my favourite Hakka Yong Tau Fu stall is no longer there.
littlestream SG I guess so but I'm not a risk taker. I'm always well-stocked. Besides, poon buay liao can ka ki jiak. So, always buy the candies/snacks I like.
