Well, cats have different body language from dogs. If you call
them and their eyes go blink blink. ..it means they acknowledge
your presence and are at peace with you. 
Do you know that cats only purr when there is a human being around?
And purring means they are happy, satisfied and very contented with
you. Sweet, right?
Not all cats are prima donnas, the Persians are aloof, certainly,
but the local cats I'll tell ya....some are so affectionate that
they'll just stick to you legs, your feet, anywhere, and it's not
like they want anything from you. They're just happy to be with
you, for what you are!
Now isn't that what we've always wanted from a fellow human
being..."I love you just the way you are...."
