'quite' common in china as well.
advertisements of loooking good, feeling good are everywhere in
South Korea.
beauty actually commands a well-paying job, respect and it
increases the chances of finding a partner with a good financial
status.
It's not uncommon to hear of parents suggesting their children
to go for plastic surgery.
many foreigners are going to korea for plastic surgery because
it's cheaper. (A double eyelid surgery would cost aroudn 4000 $ in
USA but it around 1000$ in South Korea)
