Wow, that sounds like a lot already. We've been to BC but have not tread on Alberta, your part of the world and Manitoba. Alberta is definitely on the Must-Go list. How can we miss Banff and the rockies?

Hey, good idea. You should definitely work for a while after grad because I think you are allowed either a year or two, right? At least, get some documentations to keep your options open.

Of the Maritimes, I like PEI best. We went to that Anne of Green Gables home. The soil is really red. I don't know if it's really rich for crops but anyways, I usually buy PEI potatoes. Wink

Oh, doing a double? Wah, you really can squeeze ah. But I thought there is a limit as to how many credits one can take in a semester? Maybe you have proven that you can exceed? We do fast-track here but only in the summer.

Hmm....yeah, there are parks and actually, we have a vertical highway that has lines of trees but thing is, we don't get that "out of town" feeling, see. Yeap, we may not go far in the end. But plotting a route myself is tricky. I'll give it a go after my PA. Yikes, I'm supposed to do my PA and here I am yakking.

I wholeheartedly concur.

You will soon find yourself in the privileged position of being able to seek employment in Canada after convocation, on account of the provisions in your student visa allowing you to obtain post-graduation work experience.

If you return to Singapore immediately after your convocation, you might never again get the opportunity to work and perhaps even lay down roots overseas.

Give this serious thought.

well ..... I'm seriously thinking of grad school now MG ... com sci of course .... can't stand econs sometimes ..... but i'm not sure if it's a good idea to immediately get a masters without getting some industry experience first ? .... what do you think ? ...

In my humble opinion, I'll say work a bit first. Masters is not about academics. A student is a student, no matter. Your outlook will not be as wide. Sure, you can learn from reading up or researching but then, life experience is you have to experience in order to know, to believe, to feel and then finally, to document it. Wink

when i finished my studies in melbourne, the student visa ended the week after...

and at that time, melbourne was celebrating bringing the unemployment rate down to 12% !
