Yes, that's what I always advocate to friends / colleagues who
are ignorant cat owners. 
The cats usually become more docile after neutering. They make
better pets afterwards. Essentially, the female cats become less
temperamental and moody, whilst the males become more 'ah gua' and
effeminate, losing their aggressiveness and what-not.
