OK, MG and Bear, the way I see it, it's like this -
Women are either like dogs (nope, I didn't say 'b-itches'!
) or, they are like cats.
Those who resemble the canines would pine and long for their guy,
pursuing them ardently, time and again, not taking 'no' for an
answer, even if the guy treats them real shoddy.
They'll always be there, they don't seem to get the message that
the guy might not really like them.
Then, there are those of us who resemble the felines. We're usually
a tad restrained, observe from a distance, then when sure of self
but yet still shy, will inch forward tentatively, and go rub-rub on
the guy's legs, and weave our way in and out of his legs, hoping
that we'll get that mmmMMMmmmm, much longed-for ear-rub and belly
rub! You yield, I yield.
BUT, felines have pride. No response whatsoever, fine! Pooh! Pooh!!
Walks off, tail held high in the air! Or, in a bad situation,
renders a MMMmrrrrreeeeeeeeow!! *cat slash!! and then, sprints
away!
