You wrote it better than I did. 
With speakers strategically positioned and nice upbeat tunes, the
weather co-operated, it can be a nice picnic. We didn't stay very
long though. There were some Fair-like stores with games and
prizes. I won a sun-shade and got some freebies key-chains. Cheap
stuff lah or actually promo material.
Lion dance kicks it off and some characters in oversized animal
costumes parading around. Free balloons, kite-making workshop and
how can we ignore the ever important.........FOOD!
