A MLC can actually begin at any age, although it is usually associated with people in my age group who have reached a point in their lives/careers when they feel they are stuck in a rut and want to 'break out' and do something different. It's real, and it can be very depressing and stressful. I have good friends who have been and who are going through this very stage of life. MG
