Near Marysville, you've also got the Healesville Sanctuary, where you can get up close to the other local wildlife.

I was in WA a few weeks ago. There isn’t much to do in Perth’s city centre, but you can try Freemantle (and Cicerello’s famous greasy fish and chips), Wave Rock and Swan Valley’s vineyards (you have to pay for a parking spot and tour at some of them). The latter 2 are out-of-the-way, so it depends on how willing you are to travel. I liked the slow pace of life in Murdoch, where I stayed with my relatives.

I’ve been to Gold Coast, Sydney n Melboure. I like Melbourne best coz the trip to the Great Ocean Road was really really memorable. The view from the helicoptor was simply stunning.

Hmmm......interesting.

Not too long ago (maybe slightly ove a month ago?), the tourism magazine rated Sydney as the Best place to visit.

I've not been to Melbourne but have relatives there. Hmm....perhaps got to scheme to get invited?

Been to Perth and Sydney but that's history already (mid 80s). Times have changed, I am sure. Wink

Lingos is the biggest attraction in Melbourne.
AHHAHAHA No I am serious.

Righto... for nature and stuff, you gotta go to Great Ocean rd, Grampians and hike your life away.

I think i might give Phillip Island a miss, it's just the flipping penguins, go to the zoo instead!

Shopping: Chapel Street, give the street malls a visit, say Bridge Road, Chapel Street. Basically all around the city.

I personally don't like Lygon street, I find my local woodfire pizza is better. Look who else would put cauliflower, brocolli and heaps of cheese on a woodfire vegetarian pizza for $8? And i don't have to fight for parking with everyone on Lygon street. I prefer Brunswick Street or Smith Street as it has more personality. I think Lygon is like urgh...

Prahran is good, Greville street has some cute stores and also my favourite Candy bar.. where else can you smoke indoors these days?? I'm there every Thursday.. actually would be Wednesday from now on.

I'm tellin you... i ain't paying $15 or whatever to get in to see just penguins.
First of all.. Phillip island is zzzzz...zzzz...zzzz...
I had to sit there for an hour before the penguins came up... ok... next thing for $20 u can spend the entire day at the Melbourne Zoo.. take a tram up there to the Zoo. No need to book an entire tour and waste one day looking at just penguins.

There's Morrissey, Scanlan & Theodore (can't afford anyway), Zimmermann, AH, Bettina liano, Roy etc on Chapel. I'm sure Paddington or something (dunno Sydney that well) has all that plus heapssss moreeee...
