I got this bad feeling when i try talking to my family that i
really fell in love with my sister so i just keep it as a secret.
At least there's my cousin. We not daily meet, only on events like
Chinese new year, family bbq etc. She is a daughter of my father's
sisters, does it make a difference?
So u guys think its actually ok marrying a cousin? its just a
risk?
Lets say you are in the Tan family. And when your mother married
she moved into the Lim family.
You fell in love with the girl in the Lim family. But lo and
behold, the girl's mother is your father's sister. ie your
aunty.
The girl's mother will run to your father saying "Your
kia wants to marry my char bo kia"
There lies the first problem. Family disapproval.
Second problem, the girl and you will have some matching DNA,
your children will then have the DNA of your parents too. Which
will make the child your sibling. This is called inbreeding. If it
continues as cousins marry cousins, the quality of human being will
become noticablely sickly.
