the Bear SG i dunno.. i think the TCM fellas have actually identified a few things as totally pointless.. bear bile was one of them.. the other was (hang on to your hats...) bird's nest! and of course, the ultimate pointless things are the tiger parts..
the Bear SG shark's fin is not medicinal.. it's just pointless as it is tasteless cartilege... it's the broth that makes the stuff nice to eat
