nope.... it's very Southern states in the US-type barbeque

they actually do the whole pig over 24 hours like that
would be good to try that at least once
Aaah... one of my American friend, who's also a huge foodie,
talked on and on to me about how Barbeque was done in the South!
It's almost an institution there!
He says there are places in Tennessee that sells
awesome BBQ, with meat that falls right off the bone because
they've been cooked in slow fire for HOURS and you can smell them
way before you even see them!
It's great how different states in the South are famous for
different BBQ styles. Kansas, Tennessee, Texas... all claim to be
THE BBQ Central!
Man, I miss Southern BBQ!!! I should trudge back to Tony Roma's
again soon! I love their combo platter of different-flavoured Ribs!
But, must find others to go and share because the servings are
huge!
I also miss Southern specialties like Chicken Fried Chicken (I
prefer that to Chicken Fried Steak), Fried Okra, BBQ Baked Beans,
Apple Fritters, Corn Dogs, etc. etc... :-P~~~
