SydneyLibrarian SG That's so true! Elindra my hubby thought like u did, too, but once he's behind the wheel he's very alert. Same here, when I'm driving, all tiredness seems to go away. Plus... there's the great feeling of P-O-W-E-R.. I can do anything I want, go anywhere I want (within speed limits of course)
Rhonda SG I am actually soooooooooooooooo ready to learn driving! If not for the darn fiscal constraints! I've been plain dreaming of driving for ages now!! The freedom, the independance, and it opens up a world of opportunities!! I think I'll learn when I land in Australia. Can't wait!!! BTW, would you believe it, Elindra... I've even DREAMT of driving several times!! In my dreams, I'm always speeding even though I don't know how to drive and then yelling 'Where's the BRAKE??!!! AAaaaahhhh!!!!' What can I say... I'm going to be a speed demon!
SydneyLibrarian SG Errrm... errrm... I'll be sure to stay away from the sidewalks if you're driving J/k lah! You can actually ask people you know to give you a few driving lessons, to chalk up the 50 hour requirement you have to meet b4 u can take your driving test. That'll save alot of $$$ !
Rhonda SG hehehehe... *chuckles*... I see I've frightened quite a few of you already! muaharhar!!! Actually, I wouldn't speed unless I have mastery over my car and I am assured of a large margin of safety in the particular stretch of road. Afterall, I've seen too many nasty Road Traffic Accident victims in the ICU and I know the serious consequences a moment's joy ride can end up in... Wanna know why I never learnt driving in my early 20's although the temptation was there? It was because I knew I couldn't trust myself then to curb the speed demon! hehehehe!!! I'm not so bad now. And I won't speed with passengers in my car. They're 'precious cargo' and besides, I don't want to be responsible for anyone else's death or injury.
the Bear SG went and spent a pile of cash.. a car is in the books for me delivery time: August 2005 oh well... 4 months... in other news, watching Urban Escape now... wanna go to Qian Hu Fish Farm? looks great! fishies and more fishies! with a longkang type for you to catch guppies with little nets! something i've not done for ages!
Rhonda SG Congratulations on your FIRST car!! It's still surprising that you'll have to wait FOUR MONTHS!!! And btw, what's the colour you've chosen?
the Bear SG black... right now, more interested in Qian Hu Fish Farm like lots of fun... lots of fish too.. according to the show, got free shuttle bus from Boon Lay and Jurong East...
the Bear SG can't believe after sleeping most of the day away, i'm still sleepy... must.. wake... up... got to face night shift tonight
choco B SG Indoor stadium - Weird choice of venue for Fygi's concert. I think a vocal jazz performance would do better in an enclosed, intimate setting like the Esplanade theatre. I've always found SIS too spacious and its acoustics abit iffy. And oh the prices! http://www.sistic.com.sg/SOPApp/SOPPortal/[email protected]=RP2IeA.-s5,AzsJFM Another reason why I like the Esplanade... even with cheap tickets you get decent sound and view
