sometimes i wonder if honesty is the best policy
was at Jurong East having dinner with the family eating at the nice
noodle house there (nice to eat!)
so decided maybe i should get some supper at the japanese takeout
there too..
the place, Kobayashi or something like that, is run by about 4
aunties... so i place my order of a Katsudon and a chawanmushi,
paid for it and waited...
the auntie decided that i ordered and paid for the Katsudon, the
chawanmushi, some kinda noodles, an order of soup, and some kinda
rice dish.. just handed it all to me...
i said, uhh.. i just ordered the porkchop rice and steamed egg..
she almost insisted that i take the whole lot (i know that the guy
before me ordered the other stuff and went to Watson's next door to
get something) and i insisted that i had not, thanked her and
walked off with my order...
i could have come home with a whole lot of food i didn't order or
pay for
sometimes, honesty gets in the way, doesn't it?
