Everybody cares, to a certain extent. We don't exist alone and
'no man is an island'.
Besides, you heard the fable about this ugly lady who saw how men
would swarm around this beauty who always frowns the whole time?
So, she thought, 'Hmm... maybe, if I frown too, like that beauty,
the men would swarm towards me too!' So, she frowned the next day
and wherever she went, the men would scramble out of her way
because whilst she was ugly already, she was even uglier when she
frowned! 
Erm... the morale of the story is, it's important to try to look
pleasant and if you're already not a chio, you've gotta try even
harder!
