the Bear SG i forgot about Samurai X.. i bought the whole series.. it's GOOD... ooo... Inuyasha is in trouble.. he can't control his new sword
Meia Gisborn SG Don't you mean Rurouni Kenshin? Samurai X is what ADV renamed the series to when they obtained the distribution rights to the series in the US. MG
Rhonda SG Thanks to Bear, I got to watch Cowboy Bebop! I love that series! Till today, I still hum 'The Real Folk Blues' tune - that song just sticks to my head! Oh, a few other songs in that anime get their airtime in the jukebox I have beneath my skull too! I haven't had the opportunity to watch much anime. My shifts prevent me from catching episodes shown on TV and the boxed VCD's they sell in the shops aren't all that cheap. Want to watch, but not much opportunity to. Worse now since I've got stuff lined up to do after work. Sigh... speak of being under-compensated! From what I do remember from my HR Admin days, the responsibilities I have to bear at work far outweigh the premium they have tagged to it. Major discrepancy!
stellazio SG WAH,must do translation??You forgot we were singing the ACS anthem a couple of weeks back?Oh Ranma 1/2 is funny too,i got FMA but no time to watch, Curious Play as well as Flame Of Recca is dammn good too..
stellazio SG Don't buy,DOWNLOAD..heheh..To date i think i have downloaded around 70-80gb worth of anime..Btw the OSTs from Boys Be are damn nice..
Meia Gisborn SG Off the bat, I'll admit that I don't really believe in ghosts and such. However, curiosity compels me to inquire how the haunted aspect manifests itself in these two rooms. Unexplained weird noises, perhaps? MG
the Bear SG yeah.. forgot how to spell Rurouni or whatever it was i loved the very last episode... (i watched it in English) where he address Kaoru without "Miss" for the first time... i should wander to the shops to get the DVD of the movies after he married her..
Rhonda SG I love Ranma 1/2!!! They don't sell the VCD's in the shops yet though. Say, where do you guys get hold of these anime in Singapore?
stellazio SG Did Kenshee marry Kaoru?I thought that was only in the oav or ova?A small mini series...Download anime don't bother buying, when you burn into CDs its all the same..heheh..Cowboy Bebob,i think you guys just watch it for Faye Valentine..
Rhonda SG No idea. Haven't had the opportunity to sit down with my new colleagues to talk about it. Just heard snippets of it as we went about work. I didn't believe in them much because I never got to see them... until my encounter with them at work. When more than five people report seeing the same thing at different times, and independant of each other, you have to believe! Anyways, I work in a place with a large concentration of spiritual activity - it's kinda like a terminal station for the afterlife - so, the chances of getting a hair-raising experience is definitely much higher!
the Bear SG no man.. the whole story.. the whole quiet desperation of each character... especially Spike, Julia and Vicious.. played to its very tragic end... they all knew it was coming.. yet, they could not get out of it...
stellazio SG Actually i was just kidding, cowboy bebob got a rating of 8.8/10 so it should be good. But i'm not interested in those space outerworld kinda anime, but rather more of special powers kind..Thats why i didn't watch vandread, galaxy angels etc even when they showed it on TV..
Meia Gisborn SG *cough*BITTORRENT*cough*! Most of the animé series currently airing on TV in Japan are subtitled and available for download within a few days of the broadcast. I get most of the torrent seeds (I think that's what they're called) from Baka Updates. Click on 'Releases' on the right to go to the seeds. Another good site to download animé, manga and music is Tokyo Toshokan. MG
the Bear SG it's got nothing to do with space and powers and stuff... just a bunch of bounty hunters... they could have set it in any time and place.. and it would still be as good... the storyline is wonderful
stellazio SG I get mine from animesuki, boxtorrent they have alot,baka-updates..And isohunt is a good one too though they probaly get most of their link from boxtorrent.Say did anyone watch finish the whole season of Ranma 1/2.For the tv only showed until he met his real mother but hid his real identity from her by turning into a girl?Actually quite a number of anime has sad endings..
the Bear SG i think the most heart-breaking one i watched was in Gunslinger Girl... and the Cowboy Bebop one was pretty sad too...
Meia Gisborn SG When he was still alive, my grandpa once told me that in order to see and even communicate with spirits and ghosts, you have to first believe that they exist. I've always tried to keep an open mind about such things, but I have yet to experience my first 'otherworldly' encounter. The spirits are boycotting me for some reason! MG
stellazio SG Mine was Now And Then,Here And there,Ayashi No Ceres,a brother actually gave up his life for his sister sake man i'm wondering to myself whether i could be as noble.. ..And Boys Be though not really sad but i thought it could at least be a happy ending for teenagers growing up..Some others just didn't have a happy ending but not much feeling..haha..Btw any of you guys caught the love hina anime series?I think its crap..
Meia Gisborn SG Regarding Cowboy Bebop: did you know that Faye Valentine was originally from Singapore? In one of the later episodes in the series, Faye received a Betamax tape containing a 'visual diary' she made during her school years. The footage in the tape showed the Merlion and the Sheares Bridge. MG
