I really enjoyed this film.
The film is in black and white, but at any time, there is usually a
single item on screen that is in color. The first scene shows a
couple on a rooftop. Black and white, but the lady wears a red
dress. Very refreshing. (this style was also in Schindler's List.
Remember the little girl wearing a red coat?)
The setting is similar to Gotham City in Batman, or Hell's Kitchen
in Daredevil. Very dark, unforgiving and morbidly
fascinating.
Fight scenes will remind you of Kill Bill. Blood, blood and i guess
more blood. Did I mention blood?
Best thing I like about the show is that it's a film noir. Can't
really say more about that. You either think it's sexy or
not.
Basically think of it as:
Batman Begins + Kill Bill + Max Payne = Sin City
