DriftingGuy SG Yeah.. dont think seafood restaurants got serve soft shell crabs... How about "no sighboard".. but heard its overpriced and overrated
Maya061 SG no soft shell one at seafood rest ? i'm ok with both.. got no crab also can eat stingray (is the name correct?). i also like it.
choco B SG Hi Maya, glad to know you're coming by again : ) How strict is your Halal requirement? Need licence, or just no pork no lard?
DriftingGuy SG Problem is... some might mind the fact the utensils used to prepare the pork dishes are washed together with the "non-pork" one? Maya has such reservations?
Maya061 SG hmm... not that strict. but would be better if the place dun serve pork/lard at all. i thought seafood restaurant only serve seafood ? like here in indo. hmm...well.. as long as they don't use lard to cook the seafood, it's ok i guess.
Maya061 SG hi hi hoping to see ya again ! hmmm... my bf & i are ok with either japanese or seafood restaurant. abt. the soft shell crab..think bear took me to japanese restaurant and i really really love the taste..
elindra SG It is normal in seafood resturants to use lard as cooking oil and they do serve pork ribs and other pork dishes as well. We have a large chinese population in Singapore and you know how chinese love to eat pork, well most chinese anyway.
the Bear SG wah.. like that.. bummer... anyhoooo... cheeken suggested no signboard at Kallang... wonder if that's central enough? another thing to settle is.. when?
skeujin SG well if the person aint staunch. most seafood plcs do comply to requests tt no pork or lard be used…
Rhonda SG Kallang sounds good... and 9th or 10th would be fine with me! How about the rest of you? Would be glad to meet Maya!
tare SG maya leaving on the 10th? then can't have it on 10th lor..... 9th is a sat... so ... my regrets!!!
Rhonda SG Oh... date's not confirmed. See what the rest say. Maybe can get a better date. So far, 6th or 7th quite OK with me. If on any other dates, then sorry, will have to give it a miss.
