Taoism, similar to other faith, has its own set of rites and
rituals for believers, devotees to go through, if they wish to
regard Taoism as their lifelong religion.
Similar to the concept of 'gui yi' in Buddhism and baptism in
Christianity.
Initiated Taoists seek refuge in the highest divine in Taoism, the
San Qing(three pure ones) - Yuanshi tianzun (Heavenly lord of
primival), Lingbao tianzun(heavenly lord of numinous treasures) and
Daode tianzun aka tai shang lao jun(Heavenly lord of dao and
virtue).
They are the divine form of Tao, Taoism's main belief and they are
regards as the Grandmaster of Taoism, creator of the cosmic and the
three treasures in Taoism - the tao, the teachings and the
spiritual masters.
5 precepts will also be uphold, to improve our values and to a
better person.
