yeah... the infra-structures are already in place....
but the levels of flash flooding has been increasing... cum
Nov-Dec-Jan (raining seasons), these areas are prone to be flooded
again....
furthermore, there are constructions for North-West (Bt Timah)
MRT lines... constructions will be bottlenecks for water flows...
hence... widening of Bt Timah's canal is a option... (widen,
deepen)...
even global-warming (melting of ice at poles) suggested
that the sea levels will increase by 20cm.. alot of land near the
coast line will be wipe away.
To me climate change at this point is not the major
influence.....this is more of how many people can the urban island
substained before infrastructure breakdowns. I
think there is always a trade off.....you can compensate with
Technology but we maybe pushing to the limits already.
