Bloop... SG In Texas, it's not even a girlish car... it's downright gay. Simple cause it's a car to sit and and go, "Look how cute my car and I are!". In general, all convertibles are viewed as gay unless they have some real muscle under the hood.

n0x SG If i were u... i wldnt take their words seriously.. considering how screwed up cars coming frm that country are barring some international models like focus..... think leaf springs, plastic exterior and cars with huge engines that is nowhere near maximizing their potential....
Bloop... SG True... however unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on your point of view, they aren't the only ones who think the mx-5 is gay. Also, having seen the number of gay men with scarves and fur lined jackets driving the mx-5 with huge "Look at me!! I look great!!" expressions and smiles on their faces. I kinda understand where the idea that its downright gay comes from. Hurts... true... but we all need to be a little more secure in ourselves and what we like. There are lots of "lists" out there and just about any car has probably been on one list or another over time. Doesn't mean all that much in the end. For the record, the car I'm looking to get now, the Forester STI... that's right on top of a list of Lesbian cars (proves what I've always said... I'm a lesbian trapped in man's body )

daveywavey SG The debate about Mx5/Miata being gay seems to come up again and again. Personally, I think it looks very soft and gay. But my opinion is not important. After all, not like anyone here is trying to impress me. But the point is, in many places (such as USA) any male seen driving one is pretty much assumed to be gay by people that see them driving it.
