Tropical biologists have only
discovered one true Purple Papaya in history and that was back in
the 1800's.. until now! Growing wild in the rainforest of western
St. Croix, near a mountain top, owners of the Purple Papaya Gift
Shop accidentally came across this very rare fruit. Some estimate
that a single, purple papaya fruit is worth more than
$200,000!
With proceeds from this rare botanical specimen, (which was sent to
London for research).
