Animal welfare groups offer reward to nab cat killer
Eighteen cats were found killed in the Jurong East area over the
last two weeks, prompting animal welfare groups to offer a $2,000
reward to help nab the killer.
The Cat Welfare Society (CWS) and the Society for the Prevention of
Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), have also asked the police to step up
patrols in the area.
Cat carcasses with slit throats were found in drains, void decks,
and hidden under bushes since Aug 20.
Residents and cat lovers there became worried when they saw one
dead cat turn up in their estate every day.
The cleaner in the area also told them that in one week, he found
about 10 dead cats in the vicinity of Blk 323, 344 and 354.
Now, more than 20 residents and volunteers are on the look-out for
the killer.
On Tuesday, just as the group of kitty detectives asked for the
media's help to alert more residents to the serial cat killer,
another dead cat was found.
It was discovered at the foot of Block 320, with its throat was
slit open.
Damn! 18 cats killed!
I wonder are the police really doing their job!
Can we do something about it? I have the urge to patrol around that
area and make sure that killer get arrested!
TMD! I wonder how will they punish him. Slit his throat?!
