Yesterday I was dropping passenger at Woodlands check point at
night and I noticed after dropping the passenger that an LTA
officer was standing in the vicinity and jotting down
something.
As the lane closest to the building was occupied and queued by
at least 20 taxis (all green lanterns), I could only drop the
passenger at the second lane which actually was painted with double
zig-zag lines (which means cannot stop there).
After seeing the LTA officer there, I felt that I could have
gotten a ticket and therefore made one circle back to see the
situation. I saw most of the taxis that were dropping
passengers there stopping at exactly there I stopped (which
actually is illegal) except one who turned out to drop the
passenger at the stop line area (the one just before turning out to
main road).
So just wondering where you guys drop your passengers there ?
There seems to be no correct way to drop passenger as the
double zig-zag area really should have been single zig-zag (so that
one lane is for waiting and another lane for dropping like at Lucky
Plaza).
