Mine nearly whole block, all are drivers, from delivery to taxis to casket. So, if I travel, I ask my downstair or upstair long pang to AP, then when it is their turn, they never ask me…dunno why?? maybe scare me..the best casket driver.

The poorer HDB estates all have TDs.but can u find any at the Duxton?

I wont be surprised if some ministers have a relative who drive a taxi.

I also wont be surprised if there are cabbies living in orchard road condo.

So Duxton hdb is sure have one.

yes, common to see taxi parked in residents lots in condos as well as outside landed property.

Some condo owner are also Uber and Grab drivers, smlj is duxton?? pinnacles sibo? that one HDB, not until you sell, you are still a poor working class chap.

Many people in Singapore are asset rich, but cash poor, whereas many rich foreigners from china, india, etc etc are cash rich but asset poor, so that is why they want to buy property in Singapore to reduce their dirty cash, you never see PRC carrying bags of US dollars to buy condos ar??

Market got jobs but not many good jobs left and those 45 or above would have problems getting good jobs. Younger ones much easier to get new jobs because they have lots of energy and are more willing to listen to older superiors. Those above 45 same age group as the manager or older than them so not so easy to find good jobs.

I sometimes also get customers who would tell me now a days not easy to find jobs unlike before and they are seriously considering working as TD.

If the 3 other TDs found good jobs then good for them.....but maybe also possible they switched to GrabCar or Uber or think taxi driving too tiring so gave up.

Currently the situation is Comfort signs up a lot of TDs as hirers during course time offering them no $1000 deposit deals. Even though they were given the option to opt out of the package if they decided to do so before taking the car, most of them took up the package. My course 3 quarters took up; someone I know's course all took up the package.

If cannot find reliefs and work OMO is super SIONG for new taxi drivers. Sure earn not enough and find working hours too long especially after considering the Sunday factor. So sure got people quit taxi driving after trying out for a few months.

Dun worry abt newbies lah, let them drive and drive, after a while, when they finally decide to look at the mirror and reflect on themselves, they will find..white hair, patches of bald head forming, wrinkles getting more and more, eyes drooping, black eyes peas, messy thining hair, tummy getting fatter, legs thiner and wobbling, hands vein start to get come out of the skin…then..maybe they will realize…what the fark, these are what driving taxis can become..

Frankly, not say I rich or my KTC is rich..what is $1000 today value???
