day to day driving, somedays pax ridership is one up one down,
short gaps of empty crusing.somedays we need to sweep at least 20
mins before u see a hand waving at roadside. otherwise hide in good
locations, and hope u can secure bookings.
other than that, any good proven method that can max out our
potential in securing passenger?
i don't interview pax of their location unless i'm changing
shift, otherwise. just pick and carry on. but lately its scary to
send pax to airport as the queues there are long. some hotel lobby
queue also have more taxi than passengers. some taxi stands, more
than the allowed taxis in queues..
This one depends on whether you change shift and what time you
change shift at.
However, if you need at least 20 minutes to find your first
customer in the evening 4-6pm period, may be worth it to speed down
to town and earn that extra $3 (actually $2-$2.50 after minusing
the ERP) extra. There
is normally a long queue in town taxi stands during change-shift
period.
You determine yourself whether it is worth it to make that trip
by racing down one evening and timing how long you need to race
down.
If you start at 4am, then good luck to you as everywhere is
short of customers. Your best bet is to make a deal with a
regular customer if you could find one and offers him a discount
for you to fetch him everyday. All the casinos and at Changi
Airport long long queue one. All hotels in town got at least
one taxi waiting there.
早起的鸟儿有虫吃 but 太早起的鸟儿没有虫吃
Very likely the 4am-6am period would be your worst hours on the
average for the day.
