Paxs late ask me to speed them, I tell them I kena okong and see how...Not happy, they can complian lor cos end of the day who will kena if TP or LTA catch us....I got pax tell me I worst taxi driver, so??? For me, full-day bus lane and explicit no U-turn areas I would not violate the regulations.

The only rule I violate is the no stopping at within 9 metres of bus-stop rule. The way I see it is customer wait at bus-stop but decided already if bus come first, I take bus but if taxi come first I take taxi. Also it is actually safer and less-traffic obstructing to stop at bus-stop than at 9-metres away due to the concave kerbs. However I always ensure I would not be obstructing any bus if I do stop at the bus-stop always choosing to stop at the very end or behind an existing bus if there is no other bus coming from behind.

The rules were erected to make our roads more safe and minimize traffic congressions.

It is not you can, i cannot, it is the traffic rules need to follow. if he got any issue with the traffic rules, he may feedback to LTA or traffic police.

But it is not worth the risk except for desperate times.

My pax so far very good one, always remind me no u-turn, better don't go into bus lanes, etc...

Lol, got one time, I blur blur did not see the Vivo sign and go drive there. Later saw it but too late liao, got to u turn, can't reverse, bo pian. Luckily bo tai chi, quite long ago.

Got another time, pax ask me to u-turn at Whampoa Drive to go to Value Hotel on Balestier Rd, forgot there is a no u-turn sign there and at the moment just did not see it, don't know why. Then go u-turn, kena horn and later realised alamak, no u-turn..

When I first started driving, very desperate, stopped many times to pick up pax in bus lanes, of course, making sure no mata or LTA officer around.

Correct thinking....if exceed 23 pts license would be suspended for 1 week to 3 months. And must pay another $200 and lose 2 days of income to attend DIPs course. Total loss is at the minimum 6+2 days of income + $200 not forgetting time needed to surender license and pick up license. If one only makes $100 per day, then it is already at least $1000 gone + additional fines for traffic offense.

If a pax do not understand yr job is at stake, then I think you better tell him to fark off from your cab base on his unreasonable demand. And like you said, it because of cabbies just do illegal U turn here and there due to pax demand, you end up also become a victim of it. And now I am helping you to tell those pax off.

Some pax think their money very big. Even if they hired you as their chauffeur, you also must obey traffic regulations. Lan jiao lang cannot change their pattern one, just stop, call TP, ask for their NRIC and tell them to speak to the police first.
