last (sunday) night fetch this chinese lady from airport to Bt merah view. i asked her which route she prefers, she said never mind just drive.

so i took PIE, told her cte might have congestion so better take adam road exit.

at first she was friendly, then she said most of her singapore money is in her luggage, she scare not enough money in her hand bag.

half way along PIE she asked me why don't take AYE? i told her she should say earlier.

after that she fierce all the way and accused me of taking longer route. she said normally she paid $15 only

when reached her place, the fare was 26. i told her never mind, just pay 15. she happily gave me 20.

i returned her the change she said i can take 16.

my bad luck to meet her, she got bi-polar.

some paxs r very cunning,although they know the routes.they purposely ask u to take any route.don't fall for this trick,to be safe tell them u intend to take this route,n ask him to agree.so in case of disputes he can't turn around n accuse u.if she say not enough money,u alrdy should be wary,suggest she pay by nets,these type of cheapo pax don't give chance,she alrdy old bird doing such tricks to other taxi drvrs alrdy

These type only abt 1 to 2% on the road lah, most are ok one lah, but if the whole day you keep getting this type of paxs, then all I can said is, YOU DAMN SWAY, time to throw key. In every trade, there are alway hazards, however, with regards to dealing with human, it is the most challenging.

with airport surcharge, 15 can only reach rochor exit

Yalor, now you know why I like to play AP, not only because of that pathetic surcharges, but because from AP, going anywhere in singapore is very straight forward, no need to use our brain cell too much.

Dun worry brother, we all were once also new before, mistakes are part and parcel of human, no one entering a new trade will not make mistakes, however, on the road mistakes is the best learning point in taxi trade and infact, in life, books and classroom talks are secondary to it because taxi driving is not a desk top job.

Learn from it and move on, it is not a difficult trade, just remember that once you become an old bird, take care of those newer one. Going the wrong road is ok, apologise, give discount and most pax will in a way, forget it, even getting complain is also not a big matter. The real essence of Taxi driving is also not about pax, road, calls and complain, the real thing is BE SAFE AND AVOID ACCIDENT AT ALL COST.
