Taxi driver job is reserved only for Singaporeans back-up job.
There is no shortage of people signing up to take the taxi
course. The waiting time is at least a month.
However not everyone is that greedy to want to drive 12 hours or
longer and not everyone can take it.
So we always say up to you how much you want to make.
Some happy when hit $2000, some $2500, and some aim for $5000.
Our known record is one Malay aimed and managed to hit $7000
for one month.
As almost everyone is self-employed and self determines how much
one wants, it works out perfectly ok like foodstore owners in
coffeeshops closing shop when they made enough for the day.
However many enter and leave the industry after trying out too.
I beleive there are 6 days courses and likely 3 night
courses running
every month. If every course has 30 persons, there are
270 person who attend the course every month or 3240 per year.
However the number of cabbies have been
stationary.
