Of course your taxi company can check if they want to. All by satellite tracking. If you use location, they can track whether you are actually at the location that deserves location charges.... but think about it, they will need time & resources to track each & every trip for each driver. Why do they want to do that? Anyway CDG did not say cant do 3rd party booking. Even LTA is promoting these apps to their staff lol

Dont worry lah. Even if that happens, you can aways explain. It is not that you are cheating or anything, why so scared? I will use the loc key if my pte key is gone. No worries if your conscience is clear.

One time took 1 AngMoh to Airport,he book by GT.after boarding told him booking fee gotta add in manually. Reach ardy fare $11.25+$2.30.He say he only can pay what is shown on the meter and said booking fee all in.so he say he will pay me only $11.25.after much argument which make me very hot liao,I accidentally say idiot.Later on after he came back,he straight away complain to big bro,immediately I got a warning letter. So be careful don’t anyhow add location charge!

If I understand you correctly, your case is not because you use loc key. Rather it is because you want to charge booking fee manually. Different matter lah. And you got warning because you called him idiot, right? Had you use the loc key, then likely bo tai chi lah.
