（联合早报网讯）陆路交通管理局在多个地点启动闭路电视系统之后，更多德士司机因为在这些不准停车的地点接客或让乘客下车而接获罚单。

全国德士师傅协会今午展开宣导活动，让德士司机及乘客了解正确的公路安全行为。

陆交局是在前年3月宣布，分阶段在30个地点安装高科技闭路摄像机（CCTV）24小时监视这些路段，提醒司机循规蹈矩，杜绝非法停车行为。

全国德士师傅协会发现，在去年6月至今年3月间，德士司机因为违反这项条例而接获罚单的个案激增到280多起。

协会属下的会员今午在福禄寿商业中心外分发印有宣导信息的纸巾包，希望通过一系列活动提高公众对这项条例的意识。（联合早报记者：陈紫筠）

It is becoming more and more stressful to drive taxi in Singapore, here cannot stop, there cannot pick, here got cam, there got new camera, here cannot over Q, there cannot U turn…walau…no wonder limpek got more white hair..phuixx

Yup. Pax wanna alight at kns place. should kena as well. Same like customer buy duty unpaid cig. buyer n seller both kena. not one side only

Pax waving on those prohibited areas will not get summons or fines, so who can stop them from waving there??? as long as you dun stop and pick, you care who wave or scream?? Problem is some cab see one with baggage going airport only, just whack in and pick, end up, few day later, tio letter, one day earning gone.

The key to punishment is alway one sided and it seek the relevant and traceability, you can argue all you want at paya lebar TP office, but at the end of the day, why you stop and pick???? If every taxi drivers practice the correct ways and abide the rules and regulations of this country roads system, you think pax will not follow?

For sure they will if they cannot get a cab at those prohibited locations.

Yah, don't suka suka pick up pax in bus, no stopping zones. Not worth it.This one very clear...

Can pick pax at bus stops if no bus lanes or double zig zag lines? Also alighting pax at bus stops is ok? I remember TDVL course says no parking 9m from bus stops but did not say cannot drop pax.

But the most important thing to remember is don't cheong ang teng, not worth it, heavy fine plus demerit points. Small fines still can tahan but if kena big fines and big points, siao liao .....

i am quite burr, the signage is a no parking wording.

let take bus stop, bus lane and road line aside. if the signage is along the road, stopping to alight passenage also cannot? it said parking, not stopping. just like zigzag is no parking but alighting and picking up is ok. as the rules is no parking not no stopping.

Hello, stopping is different lah, at a traffic jam, it is also a stopping but not a parking, as long as there is no intention to park, no offence, and as long as you are not there for a minute, no problem, more than that, good luck to you.

So if you are going to drop off pax at no parking place, tell pax you cannot stop there, most pax are understandable, but if this ccb pax insist, then ask him to ready the fare, or collect the fare at a traffic light, once reach the location, open door and drop off immediately, no offence.

The system in enforcing can anger many motorists, especially those kenna fined, but then on the other hand, the system prevent accident, hogging and also those ccb pte car stopping at taxi stand. 2015 first quarter accident rates in comparing to 2014 1st Q, had fallen, so to the govt aka LTA or TP, the system is working, from upgrade of new cam at highways to cams at designated areas, the result is a reduction of accident, example is at beach road, if everyone is like my bro CT stop there to drop and pick pax, then it will hog the road, cause frustration and accident..
