Translucent White Dress

Hey guys,
recently i saw a very nice white long dress and I like it alot but it was pretty translucent. Any ways that I can do so not that transparent or is it possible that I go to the alteration shop and ask them to sew a layer inside? Or u guys has any nice shops to recommend that sell reasonable price of white long dress and that is not so transparent?
