Incident Case 2: Langgar in Private Carpark

i just hear about a case where the cab langgar with a private car at the roundabouts near condo exit. from what i hear the cab should already be heading into the roundabouts turning towards exit first. then the private car shoot out and accelerate instead of slowing down, from another side and join into the roundabouts slightly in front of the cab.. and they hit each other side, like the cab hit the private car side door something like that.

the private car wants the cab take 100% fault. his first reason is..he is in front what, thats why hit his side mah, not the other way round. and on top of that reason, second reason is he is the resident there, so any carpark/driving area is consider private property, therefore its the cab is outsider MUST first auto give way to residents who are the property owners.its understood.

and finally, the guard seems like he already know which side hes siding..

now this case pending. what is the view

Road in private condo don't belong to private road.....

Go google the meaning of Strata Title.....

Most insurance still cover within private condo's compound.....

But some area like Marine Yard is "enter by your own risk".....

Sometime you will encounter ridiculous pax wanted you to drive them all the way to dry dock area, you have the right to decline them.....

Because if anything happen within the yard, our insurance does not cover, especially night time, drive into the sea you also won't know.....

For this case, side collision, 50-50 lor.....

Tia gong hor...for traffic accidents, it should be traffic rules lor. .where got private rules one?

Today, fetched one pax from The Seafront condo at Meyer Rd. Booking. I reached there, saw the pax standing by the entrance to the condo. Stopped there for her to board.

Knn...one BMW 7 series want to turn in. Cannot wait and horn at me. I stared at him. ccb no patience one. Like he own the condo and I cannot stop outside to pick pax liddat.

I believe roundabout, most cases are 50/50

side swipe by "left and right"(not mean it literaily) usually is 50-50, worst case is pay half of damages. that private car driver's head need to be check, and his ego needs to be crushed

Tia kong (hearsay) this type of accidents are rare, all roads in Singapore are known as Granfather's road, ah kong road, no such thing as condo or private property smlj road, that include carparks, anything that is a road with white lines drawn + sign and labels on roads are all ah kong's road.

Of course, in Singapore, those who tua sang (loud voice) alway think they can eat others, but to be frank, actually all these loud voices' people are mostly suffering from serious inferiority complex, (my bro keepthechange could be one of them) because anything to them, is they are right and others are wrong even tho nobody is right or wrong, so let them be, just smile, take picture, make police report if you wishes, and for cab, report to cab company.

Road Traffic Act Chapter 276 clearly define what is a road in Sg....

“road” means any public road and any other road to which the public has access, and includes —
