ANYONE MAILED PIRATED CD OVERSEAS BEF?

AdamLyon SG

hello guys, uhm, i ll just ask it straight-

cos i would really like to send this movie i downloaded, to my gf who is currently 'stationed' in Indo.

i guess i could try, like, uploading to megaupload or smthing, but over there the internet sucks, and my movie is 800mb (hollywood movie, not home-movie hehe)

so i thought, what the heck, burn to blank dvd and post wif singpost.

BUT,

~will singpost/watever, actually check the contents of the cd?

~will get in any trouble?

~will they just throw?

to anyone who have tried before, can please share your experience? Thank you so much!!

ivertan00 SG

calculate the chances of them checking ur CD and content. Relatively low, dun wry.

Itedino SG

Since you got computer, why dun u send it to her rather than waste the postage. Funny

Deino SG

I doubt Singpost would check the contents of your mail.

Why don't you just ask her to find over there?

_Da_Dood_ SG

dangerboi SG

Hey guys, OMG im so sorry for "disappearing" and not saying anything...
Not feeling well + work stress = forgot abt this thread :p

~Thank u all for replying, although some gave better suggestions than others...

@ ivertan00
Thank u for giving me hope, hehe

@ Itedino
It's simply that, the internet over there unreliable/slow, so i worry- for example,
download halfway kenna cut, then how? Also, if i use MU or watever, i also gotta pay a similar or higher amt, right??

@ Deino
Well, it's an arthouse thing, so prob those pirated shops over there dun have it,
even wanna find original also hard, huh?

@ _Da_Dood_
At first, i thot u saying rubbish. Now i think abt it, thks for yr suggestion, it's nt bad, hehe

@ dangerboi
Srry abt that :)

@ ahtansh
ok thks

@ Surveilynn
Interesting. thks.

@ The man who was death
See my reply to Itedino; But thanks for your suggestion!

@ TTFU
Sometimes, youtube does not = an 800mb quality movie, correct?...

@ Hello Kitty
Your suggestion made me laugh the most!! :) It's like, the simplest, most direct solution :))
Except that im dirt-poor ahahahahaaha

@ Airry
As i mentioned, over there internet totally sucks. PLUS, i jus wanted it to be abit more.. "nice", by downlding for her and sending to her, hehe, mayb im jus dumb :D

Thanks anyway!

Airry SG

i see.. just burn and send it over. its ok.. nobody will scrutinise whats inside at the custom area.

Ponders SG

Depends on the country you are sending to.

For indonesia, the CD might just get sent to censorship first before being sent to your GF.

Singpost side don't care what you send.

Indonesia will not care if it is pirated or not, they will just care if it needs to be censored or not. But in most cases, they don't care.

For indonesia, try not to us post. or at least use EMS or registered mail.

Plastic Bag SG

send the torrent file to her. then u seed it. LOL!!!
