Heard that prices of diamonds are always droping so if you buy a diamond ring and sell it later you will make a loss.

So in that case if let say Lee Hwa Jewellery is selling a diamond ring now for 1k and nobody buys it, 1 year later the price of the diamond ring will drop to say $900 or $800 because diamond ring prices is always dropping?

Is that why nowadays at these jewellery shops they are always giving large discounts because the price of diamonds have dropped so they have to reduce the selling price too?

That is correct, the price of diamonds drop faster than gold, that is why so many people invest in gold instead of diamonds.

those that are about 1 or 2 carat and below are actually worthless.

diamonds got value only if they are large and big , more than 5 carat , and must be

100% clear. Because they are a rarity.

in addition, your diamond needs to have a certificate..

it's good if you're able to afford diamonds that cost more than 20k Singapore dollars

got certification also no use if your diamond is just 1 or 2 carat. De Beers has tons of them in their vault. Controlling the quantity in the market to maintain the price.

i said one more time 1 or 2 carat is worthless.

buy cubic zirconia and moissanite instead. nobody can tell the different with the naked eyes. you don't need to drive a merc or bmw , just a toyota camry and tell your friends the 2.5 carat moissanite you wearing is a diamond. no one will dared to dispute you.
