No racial intented, like this no wonder many aunties siam those
dark skin driver including me, knn, OBK all because of someone told
his mother not to take black color one.
Lol, I also siam such pax! No lah dark skinned FT Indians are
generally okay especially the construction worker. They will ask
nicely if you can go to destination, you need not interview
them.
It's only the northern ones that are a bit problematic. Many of
them still have this caste system of thinking - being superior to
an ordinary worker like a taxi driver etc.
And for pay with large bills and cards, again it's a class
issue, they have the tendency to show they doing well, thus use big
bills and cards.
But recently I noticed a slight improvement, I think the message
has gotten to them or they had been on the receiving end of
Singapreans anger.
Now most of the time when I ferry them, they are very polite
well behaved and respectful, of course there remains some who still
cling on to their 'homeland style' but they seem to be in the
minority slowly but surely.
But pls ah, they like to pay by card (usually company card) so
if you wanna pick them up, be prepared for cashless payment.
