From Beach Road, Purvish street. This wonderful lady Vietnamese Pax on board, Uncle Fort Avenue, so i confirmed with her one more time, Fort Avenue East Coast, yes yes.

After at destination Fort Road, you know what happen. No no No uncle no, than where Fort Avenue at Fort Road. Knn how? so you say Fort Road East Coast... yes yes. I...no... no.

There is another Foch Road. you know sound the same. ya

So with the help of my street directory, there is one situated Leedon at Holland name under Ford Avenue....this is how it go about and you learn from here.

This Thai lady pax at Lucky Plaza, on board Jalan Hitam Manis. Ok Balestier Road knn yes yes again. this time lagi best upon reaching ok Jalan Manis.... no no....Knn what happen again. Wrong. same trick took my street directory knn at Holland Road. One hitam really kenna hantum. what Hitam what Manis.

Jalan Ampas, Jalan Empat, Jalan Ampang, Jalan Angklong...this kind of Malay road names no probelm for Guru ALN but will be probelm for beginner. yo

Simple just ask the pax if he or she can guide you. If not just tell them you need to look at the directory just drive out from the Q, just park at convenient place a few seconds answer will be there.

Wah pian, talking about paiseh, you know how many newbies when Bustop got some potential pax some not, some show hand sign some newbies really zoom in to take them but those are not actually flagging for the taxi but is for the bus...haha seeing is believing. As you go along you see.

I, teach you go the nearest Comfort kiok topup you fuel at about 3pm until full the maximun, than proceed with your round until you handover to him at 4.45pm. Show him you receipt and the litres is stated there than the balance you pay him.

$1.14 is not correct there is still rebate.

Small road like Jalan Manis in Balestier Road i took call there before so i know. But Jalan Hitam Manis i think maybe there but this time i am wrong. So now I know and you also know.

Another Kg Kayu and the other is Jalan Kayu.

when pax say some small road name, usually they will say off which main road… cos many other cabbies will already have asked them b4… e.g. pax usually say flower rd near kovan MRT or off upper serangoon…

if they dont say, u ask loh…

but it is your job to master all the main roads and expressway exit… no excuse…

Mega road e.g. all expressways, serangoon, dunearn, river valley, bt merah – if dont know, should quit liao… haha

2nd tier road e.g. boon keng, balmoral, cavenagh road, henderson, haig, joo chiat, corporation, dover… must pick up quickly

3rd tier road – e.g. flora, kovan, anderson, unity… if you know, pax more impressed and comfortable

4th tier e.g. those road that guru kin listed… no horse run liao…

To me, if you know 1st to 3rd tier roads plus you can connect them and short cut very well, damn solid liao… more important than knowing more of 4th tier roads…

I recall liao near Pasir Ris. unity oso seem like saw it in some where, now I RMB liao, how to RMB all the small roads, actually after driving taxi then i started look at the road signboard, hehee....... i think this is all abt experiences that U encounter, after driving tis few mths, I knew abt many funny road n many short cut. So can you let us know, if from Upper Thomson toward Novena Church, on saturday since you are also day shift. your destination is Hilton Hotel, pax said please avoid Novena Church and Steven Road exit from PIE. Than… where will be the short cut, you want to take this or Guru Alvin than.

if you are already in thomson road past balestier junction, i will take chancery lane-balmoral-anderson-orange… solid route…. (in fact, on sat evening from CTE to hilton, i will also encourage pax to exit bt timah-balmoral-anderson… otherwise, cairnhill and scott jam jam jam)

if you havent past balestier junction, can consider PIE-steven-anderson

dyson road? ok, next time i try... guru kin and KCTK, please share more shortcut... always good to know more... 1. Going to 1 Raffles Link : go into the carpark at Marina Mandarin, follow sign board to Raffles Link, turn right to 1 Raffles Link. 2. Thomson road to Tanglin/Orchard, avoid traffic lights : whitley rd, dyson rd, chancery hill rd, chancery lane, balmoral rd, anderson rd, orange grove rd. detour at chancery lane to mt. rosie, malcom rd to access stevens rd. more useful for avoiding traffic jams rather than shortcut actually. 3.stevens rd (small lane) next to The Draycott condo at Draycott Park..joins to main stevens road directly at the sloping u-turn to scotts rd. 4. carpark jurong east st31<=> jurong east ave 1 5. getting to upper circular rd from eu tong sen rd, no need to u turn along hill st. from eu tong sen turn right to carpenter st, turn left to carpark, exit straight ahead to upper circular rd. 6. grange rd <=> tanglin rd : one tree hill, jalan tupai, tomlinson rd (also to cuscaden rd) 7. river valley <=> grange rd : nathan rd, chatsworth rd (chatsworth rd/ave, jervois rd all quite useful for moving to & from grange/tanglin) 8. chartwell, li hwan : useful for escaping serangoon gdn/lor chuan 9. toa payoh lor.1 to thomson rd : use toa payoh rise (1 way only) 10. clementi ave 3 from PIE/clementi ave 6 : u turn at clementi ave 4 instead of turning right on commonwealth ave west at the ntuc (takes too long) 11. loyang ave to pasir ris dr 3 (from changi village) : avoid the right turn. on loyang ave, turn left into the shell station and right into new loyang link, go straight for dr 3 12. jalan haji alias along sixth ave to get back to the coronation/duchess area 13. bukit timah rd after sixth ave (condo area) to holland rd : old holland rd/wilby rd/blackmore rd => holland link/plain/road

Inside CTE Tunnel exit Havelock straight all motorist heading for Cecil street alway us Upper Pickering st, Church street, Raffle Quay, Shenton Way than Cecil street.

After Havelock exit turn right to New Bridge road, than Temple Street to South Bridge Road, Maxwell Road and Cecil Road is waiting for you, why? need to stay at the bottle jam of Upper Pickering Street, Church Street and the Raffle Quay jam at the traffic junction of Lau Pat sat and Hong Leong Building during peak period.

Evan Road is very useful from Bukit Timah Road heading to Gleaneagle Hospital, Tanglin Mall, British Council and those Embassy on the right of Holland Road.

From Holland Road toward Ulu Pandan on the right use Tyesall Ave than Tyersall Road, Clunny Park Road that is behind Serene Centre…. there you are junction for Bukit Timah and Ferrer Road. Coronation Plaza is just so near.

Drop off Point Lucky Plaza very hectic the short jam and the ERP, drop them at Merriot Hotel infront of the Hotel save the ERP and save the that stupid Bus Lane that portion where you need to turn in into Lucky Plaza.

Use Cairnhill Place Multi Storey Carpark drive in to the basement exit to Cairnhill Road, Mount Elizabeth Link to Mount Elizabeth Hospital, you can avoid than Cairnhill Circus that stupid Traffic light waiting for your turn to turn to Mount Elizabeth Link much faster.
