Housing estates always the case , i don't bother to wait for customers at places like Lot-1 , BT PJ Plaza , Causeway Point , Tampines Mall , Century Sq , Tiong Bahru Plaza .

I always rush into CBD , now also same , before hike me always does that , so now no problem .

Dunno what fuss ? Go Swissotel Stamford , within 5 minutes sure got customers .

Cabbies must go town then can survive ..... housing estate ever since MRT was built , was dead .

now is bad time for taxi drivers cos pple r trying to boycott cab rides.

Very little , good time $3200 , bad time $2400 , now fare hike think $2200 maximum .

The last few months before hike , ironically i earned something like near to $3k , this could be the reason why the god-damn Garmen increase the fare .

Singapore PAP Garmen always does that , cannot see a profession get rich .

Only they all can get rich .

I alway tell my friends , if the garmen closed one door , we can always find another door , they can't close all the doors , we'll find the source to another door .

There's many doors available in taxi business . We have to source for them that's all .

Same apply to all professions .

During the SARS period .... my group out-source all those cabbies , our group made it every night when others flopped .

When others quit , taxi got less , more night reliefs quits , taxis got even less , that's when we made $$$ .

We cabbies have to analyse the strength and weaknesses of the market , and Singaporean's reaction to this hike , and analysis the duration of the effect ... in daily basis , the up and down of the taxi demand ...... from there , we adjust to the environment .

Once again , we can't beg the environment to fit us , we have to adept to the changing environment . And fast .

Taxi driving - it's not just about driving , it's a business .

Boycott is the "naughty" term , not that la .

Taxi is somehow expensive to take at the moment .

Just like a pair of Armani jeans , $200+ , very nice , but u might think thrice before u really want to buy it , unless u really need it , if not , a pair of Made-In-China XYZ $12.00 jeans will do .

Also unless u are so branded-mind , everything must be Armani , so no choice u must buy lor ...

In fact , my 8pm onwards business as usual , only problem is the 5pm to 8pm segment , must really work for it .

For a quiet period like today , for 11 hours job , i manage to get $189 nett salary .... is it enough for me ? certainly yes .

Yesterday ? I earn $105 for 7 hours job . But yesterday lucky a bit .

Business is bad compare to last month , not that really so jia-lat la .

The ratio is like : 2 trips = 3 trips last month .

Eg .... Park Mall go Jurong West $21 , Jurong West go Double O , $16 , total 37 , last month , i need another Double O go back Jurong west then i can get $37 .

Saw the diff now ?

Less busy la ..... less trips more money .
