Complain to the cab company.

I have never met a cabby who helps me with my luggage at the airport. The only thing they do is open up the boot.

My god you people blame everything on the 'gahmen'. I bet the cabbies think the same way coz of people just like you. They probably think "it's not my fault I don't want to help, it's the government's". WELL GROW A SACK AND FILL IT WITH BALLS AND ACCEPT THAT IT'S YOU WHO'S THE DICKHEAD BARBARIAN SAVAGE WHO CAN'T HELP SOMEONE IN NEED.

I take taxis maybe some 20-30 times a month. Maybe I'm lucky. But i've only come across 1-2 a month who are arses. The rest are pretty friendly and nice. I do also make it a habit to sit in front next to them and talk about life and politics :p

I also usually am offered a round-down of prices. And when I'm in a good mood, or if the chat was especially enjoyable, I'd usually tip the drivers in return.

Last time I met a taxi driver who like to talk about Singapore govt political. From the time I board till the time I alight, he already said countless of vulgarity. From CB to KNN. All sorts, you name it, he has it.

I really want to complain, but no heart to do. He's also earning bread mah...

Most Singapore cabbies are more helpful compared to those from countries like Malaysia and Hong Kong SAR.
