This indian lady speaks better cantonese than me , and doing well in HK too..

Actually I think HK way is good too..allows minorities to integrate without losing their cultural identities...we should attract this type of talented indians to SG!

I like the way HK deal with minority issues.....very forthcoming and cut to the chase....make people more aware of the problems and striving for a fairer society Look at this indian classmate and fillipino girlfrd in HK society clip!

How come Hong Kong can become so good in minority issues?

Catknight SG

what you mean by being so good?By being truthful about race relations instead not talking abt it here?

so good as in better than singapore even though they are not a multiracial country.

u mean singapore not so truthful about race relations than hong kong ar?

Catknight SG

I mean we are not supposed to talk abt race matter more openly than HK I think

i believe that. i think because singapore is a multiracial country, the more we avoid the topic, the more ignorant we become.

Catknight SG

I come from Hong Kong.

Actually race discrimination is still a severe problem in Hong Kong, as most of the minorities don't know cantonese. The english level of HongKongese is still generally poor including me. They are very difficult to integrate to our society compared with the enviroment in Singapore. Despite the try of government to promote race equality, it doesn't work actually....
